What’s the secret to fantastic tasting vegetables? Healthy soil!
In the late 1930s, soil scientist Dr. William Albrecht discovered the connection between health
of soils and nutritional quality of the food they produce. He also found that soils with a specific ratio of minerals produced higher yielding and more nutritious crops. We regularly collect soil samples to determine what the soil
needs to be balanced and produce the most delicious (and nutritious) vegetables possible.
Our vegetables are certified organic, and we strive to use as many local varieties as we can. We hope to start saving our own seeds to develop varieties that excel in our northern Alberta climate.
